10 Everyday Hacks for Olive Oil
1. Dust your furniture

A polishing cloth and a small dab of olive oil will go a long way when it comes to dusting your favorite antique oak dresser. Or getting all the cat hair off the front of your TV screen. A little bit goes a long way here.

2. Unstick that pesky zipper

Dab a little olive oil on the end of a q-tip, then rub all of the zipper teeth. If you have one that is really stuck use a small dropper and put a small drop right on the zipper, work it up and down until you have a struggle free zip.

3. Out of cough medicine? Take a swig of olive oil.

A single tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil can sooth the scratchiest sore throat. Adding a 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice to help knock out that winter cold the natural way.

4. Remove your makeup

The fat in olive oil makes even the toughest eye makeup slide right off. You are also moisturizing at the same time, instead of drying out your skin with alcohol based products.

5. Heal your acne!

Extra virgin olive oil has incredible anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. They work just as good on the outside as they do on your heart and gut. Use a small amount on a cotton ball to help clean and heal your acne.

6. Give your sunburn some relief

No matter how hard we try to avoid it, we all get at least a little sunburn in the summer. Extra virgin olive oil gives you instant relief from the dry itchy burn, but it will also help heal your skin faster.

7. A safer way to remove paint from your skin

Painting your hallway that perfect shade of blue was the best idea you had all month. Scrubbing the paint off your hands for an hour to no avail? You could do better. Rub your hands with olive oil, and let them sit for about 5 minutes, then poof! It will wipe right off.

8. Condition your cutting board

Big wooden cutting boards are awesome for slicing and dicing but all that cutting can really take a toll on your favorite chopping block. Soak a paper towel with a couple tablespoons of olive oil and wipe down your cutting board after you wash it. You will think you bought a brand new board!

9. Control your frizzy split ends

Are your split ends out of control? Or maybe you just have a frizz problem in general? Use little extra virgin olive oil to tame that out of control frizz. It makes your hair look healthier and shinier too!

10.Fix your squeaky door hinge

There are few things more irritating than an old creaky door hinge. Apply just a couple drops of olive oil, for a silent smooth door.
